Dear friend,
We have somet important questions for you. Take a moment to answer them for yourself and/or for your clients….
- Do you sometimes feel frustrated by the fact that there are changes you deeply desire to make in your life, but over and over again you slip back into your old familiar patterns and habits?
- Have you ever felt like you gained an incredibly powerful insight but then it just dissipated into the background instead of becoming an embodied truth you live by and that changes the way you show up in the world?
- Do you ever feel frustrated running into the limits of your ability to help others realize the changes they need and want to make?
- Have you ever experienced overwhelm by all the different methodologies, techniques and expert advice available out there and trying to apply it to your and your clients lives?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we’re happy to deliver some good news to you…..
Ready?
You are not alone!
In fact most of us out there are intimate with these feelings of frustration and overwhelm when it comes to realizing change and development in our own lives and those we serve professionally.
Engaged but Frustrated
Being change facilitators who are deeply engaged in their own development as well, both of us are intimate with the incredible energy that comes from realizing change and growth that we deeply care about. We have had the privilege to experience this in our own lives, as well as witness it in those we work with as coaches.
Yet at the same time, there is also a lot of change and development that does not happen, as well as wonderful and profound insights that do not become embodied and fail to really inform the way we live our lives on a moment to moment basis. This has often left us feeling frustrated and powerless, both personally and professionally.
We began to wonder how it is that change seems to be one of the most direct and constant natural processes wherever we look and yet the change we seek is often messy, temporary and not integrated nor embodied.
We decided to make this question of ‘What really facilitates lasting and embodied change?’ the sole focus of our 2011 speaker series entitled The Dynamics of Change.
And of course we took the rigorous and comprehensive approach that we are known for in order to really expand our capacity to hold and facilitate change in self and others….
So what did we do?
We extensively researched the web and available literature for the core conditions and underlying principles that are essential for actualizing change. Then we hand-picked a select group of global experts from three complimentary categories:
- The founders and leaders of the most successful and advanced change facilitation schools in the world.
- The developmental experts who have scientifically studied and experientially tested what helps and hinders adults change and develop.
- The psycho-spiritual innovators who have devloped methodologies that assist us in making changes on the deepest and most profound levels of our being.
We interviewed each one of these experts in depth and gained access to an incredible wealth of experiential wisdom on how to realize change, as well as how we relate to our desire to change. Quite honestly, the content of the interviews was so rich it blew us away. We felt a desire to condense the wisdom it contains and make it available in a format that better allows you to absorb and engage with it at your own pace.
This is why we created a single ebook for you containg all the highlights of these profound interviews. Engaging with this ebook gives you the opportunity to actually apply the insights of the experts to your unique situation and developmental pathway. And see how these insights can deeply enrich and potentially transform the way you facilitate change in others!

Here are a few of our Favorite Highlights to give you a taste:
Robert Kegan – Minds At Work & Harvard University
“As long as you’re working on changing behavior without getting at the fundamental mindset or the meaning-making system that produces that behavior, your results can only be temporary, meager and disappointing. No matter how sincere everyone is and no matter how hard everyone is working. The diet is just a perfect example of that. People work very very hard on a diet, they lose the weight and then they regain it.”
“The point of our approach is really that you need to reach this place where you can see yourself better. Where you can actually see that the reasons you don’t change are intelligent.”
“The question is can we expand our mindset. Can we open the aperture? Can we find another way of taking good care of ourselves? That’s really what coaching processes are about. It’s about ways of opening up our (clients’) mindset. It is pursuing a coaching process that is really on behalf of our own transformation, of our own growth and development.”
Henry Kimsey-House – The Coaches Training Institute
“One of the elements of the shift that I feel needs to happen is that we have to take responsibility for our world. Both the immediate world of who I am and what’s around me, as well as the bigger picture. In order to make this leap we have to increase our consciousness. We have to become more conscious of the world around us and the world within us. The evolutionary leap that we are engaged in is about increased consciousness and responsibility.”
Joanne Hunt & Laura Divine – Integral Coaching Canada
“In our approach we have a really strong focus on honoring someone’s current way of being. Because if you’re really thinking about realizing change and the message is out with the old and in with the new, the obvious subtext behind that is that whatever you are now is not good.
This signal of inadequacy in and of itself is the first thing that can have change get counter-being. Because part of us doesn’t want to dismiss all of us. It doesn’t want to dismiss who we fundamentally are. So really owning our current way of being, and seeing and honoring it as well as knowing its limits is a hugely critical component for sustaining change.”
Craig Hamilton – Integral Enlightenment
“We always think there are inner and outer conditions that are in our way. But what we found in our community of practice was that when we remove all the obstacles, what we are left with was a bunch of people who deep down were terrified at the thought of really giving their lives to a greater cause. (..) We found this fundamental resistance to change, this fundamental refusal in a sense, to allow my life to be about something bigger than me.”
Did you discover ways of overcoming that resistance to change and terror?
“The most useful and perhaps most significant insight that emerged in our collective work together, was that there really is a part of the self that is already deeply aligned with the force of evolution itself, the process of change itself. There’s a part of us that is actually not resistant to change at all, but is a big yes to growth, development and change.”
Marita Fridjhon – CRR Global
“There is an incredible power in the collective. When you look at large scale change there’s foundational work to be done with the individual. But the juice for me personally has always been in the larger collective, because of the tremendous power for both destruction and transformation that actually lives in the collective.”
“When we’re talking about our coaching approach, or what we call ORSC coaching, the focus is really on the space between people and on the system that is the relationship. And that’s who we hold to be the client. Then we think of the individuals that are in the group as a voice in the system.”
